A live funk and soul music experience for the whole family featuring Katy Ashworth as seen on CBeebies

Event Details:
The yard will be open from 12pm with giant games and crafts until 1.30pm.
Kanteena kitchen and bars will be open from 12pm serving street food, cold beers, kids drinks and sweet treats!
1.30 show starts in the main room
Our bar and kitchen will be open til late so feel free to hang around all afternoon and eat and drink with us!

WHAT IS KATY AND THE MACHINE?
Katy and the music machine is a live funk and soul music experience for the whole family. The six-piece band made up of keys, percussion, saxophone, guitar, bass and vocals covers well known funk and soul tracks with kid friendly lyrics. The show is crammed with interaction with the audience games, prizes and lots of fun!

All designed to get the WHOLE family up on their feet having a great time. Led by CBeebies’ Presenter Katy Ashworth who has over a decade of experience entertaining pre-schoolers and their families all over the world as well as almost 15 years working as a professional singer in musicals, pantos and swing, jazz and funk and soul bands.

KATY ASHWORTH
Katy’s career in children’s TV presenting and entertainment has spanned over ten years taking her to all corners of the world to make children and their parents laugh and learn through song, story and games. She is a very familiar face on the BBC’s pre school channel CBeebies presenting daily links in the CBeebies house, their flagship cookery show ‘I Can Cook’, appearances in ‘Justin’s House’ and the CBeebies pantomimes. She has performed lead roles in major UK pantomimes and theatre shows including the West End. Her one-woman slapstick comedy show has been a hit all over the world from Glastonbury Festival to South Africa. Katy has a first class degree in drama. She also trained in Commedia Dell Arte with Antonio Fava in Italy and at Jaques le Coq in Paris. She has run several adult and children’s choirs including Rock Choir, Exeter Soul Choir and Bristol Children’s choir and has been singing funk, jazz, swing and soul in big bands, party bands and solo since the age of 16.
