Lancaster Psych Fest arrives for the first time next month and what a line up the team have sorted. Headlined by the mighty Temples we have put together a stonking line up reflecting all angles of psych and represented by some fine acts from near and far away with Splitterzelle flying in from Germany & Portugal.
Friday sees us welcome Opus Kink as the main headliners. Their raucous live shows have drawn attention up and down the country mixing psych & post punk whilst GANS lively shows have attracted applause and plenty of 6 Music plays. For sure one of the bands to watch over the event. Cracked Ankles trio Yaang, TV FACE & Philthy Dirty give us a nice North West balance to the night with plenty of flair, noise and raw energy. Plus Lancaster post-punk, noise duo Dull.
Saturday brings us Temples, the Temples. These guys have played their brand of fuzzy psych to millions all over the globe and now they’re all set to join us for what’s set to be the highlight of the event. Black Market Karma have played once before during the Lune Attack all dayers and we’re delighted to welcome them back. Splitterzelle are an absolute powerhouse of electro psych guaranteed to make the roof shake, this international act is zooming over from germany and Portugal to be with us. Nudist have smashed Liverpool to bits over the years and a psych party in the North West isn’t a psych party without these guys. They’re full on, you’re gonna love them. Looking Glass Alice are also arriving from many places, including Rome to be with us and doubling up their set by leading the way DJing the afterparty. Pray For Mojo are more representative of the North West whilst Scott Hepple & The Sun Band make the long journey South from Scotland for the occasion.
