You are warmly invited to the FoodFutures 2026 Harvest Feast: A time to gather, celebrate the ‘golden work’ going on in our District and share food, recipes and the joy of working with local food.
Book your place here and look forward to sharing a home-made meal. Meet fellow food enthusiasts, growers, food club organisers, citizen journalists, fermenters, plotters, composters, gleaners, food champions, regenerative enterprises, pots of possibility projects, cooks and chefs. Exchange tips and recipes, stories about what has worked and what hasn’t, and enjoy a Sunday of community.
Activities will include cooking demos, apple juicing, music, and displays from local organisations where you can find out more about all the great ‘golden’ work happening in our local area, including growing, composting, and sustainable food practices.
Sunday 20 September 2026 at Kanteena, Brewery Ln, Lancaster LA1 1QL
Provisional timetable and actvities
11:00 – 12:30 Apple juicing and cooking demonstrations (bring apples to juice!), plus community food stalls and activities.

The Kanteena Bar will be open, but feel free to bring home-made drinks to taste.
All are welcome.

The Harvest Feast is part of Share the Harvest, a month-long festival celebrating locally grown varieties of apples and pears, rescuing unharvested fruit and raising awareness of food waste through a range of community events.
FoodFutures and the Closing Loops project invite everyone in North Lancashire to pitch in and harvest, preserve, celebrate and of course eat apples and pears this autumn.
