- When you book, please let us know how many Adults and Children are in your group
- Adult (aged 18+) tickets are £25 each
- Children’s (aged 12-17) tickets are £16 each
- On booking you will pay a deposit of £25, with the remainder of your fee paid on arrival for your session
- Groups of 10 and over will recieve a 10% discount
- Session last between 60-75 minutes, including induction

NEVER HELD AN AXE BEFORE?
The principles of successful axe throwing are really simple but like any new skill, it takes some guidance and practice. But, what makes axe throwing great is that once you get the basics nailed it becomes pretty addictive, pretty fast!
Everyone is different. We are all different sizes, different strengths, have unique throw styles so there is no ‘one size fits all’ guaranteed to land you in the bullseye. But that’s where our amazing instructors come in.
Axe throwing relies on a number of key elements coming together to win you that golden axe:
Distance – How far away are you? We’ll help you work out the right distance for making sure the right part of the axe is hitting the target.
Rotation speed – Whether you’re a speedy ninja or a slow and steady kind of thrower, we will help you understand how your rotation and speed affect your game.
How straight is your throw? – Are we perfectly slicing an apple down the middle like a blindfolded Michelin chef or are we scything grass like an 18th century barley farmer? Either style can have massively different results.
STEP-BY-STEP GUIDE TO YOUR SESSION SESSION FORMAT
See below for how a typical session might look – but our incredible instructors will customise our sessions depending upon our guests, they’re good like that!
1. SAFETY BRIEFING – Yup, safety first, always. Before anyone throws anything we always go through our house rules. These are designed to keep everyone safe, outline what everyone will and also must not be doing. You can’t skip this bit.
2. THE BASICS – That’s the start. The very beginning. We are well aware that a lot of people out there haven’t had the time to try axe-throwing yet which is why all of our sessions start from the very beginning. From how to hold and collect your axe to what’s actually going on when you’re throwing at those targets.
3. ADVANCED THROWS – You want to try something a little more Thor? Fancy 2 at a time? Our Instructors have all sorts of tricks for you to try out.
4. THE BIG COMPETITION – What you thought we weren’t going to put you to the test? There is an axe crown out there and it’s got your name on it! So you know what you’re doing, you’ve even started to nail those trickshots, you want the crown. EVERYONE WANTS THE CROWN . It’s time to go head to head, no more alliances, no more besties, it’s all versus all in our competition finale. This is where your Instructor stops advising and starts keeping the score.
5. PHOTO TIME – We take pictures of all of our throwers. No not a stiff corporate portrait, all of you next to your targets… with axes
Flying Axe Commandments
DON’T ARRIVE INTOXICATED
Save the drink and drugs for later. Anyone thought to be intoxicated will not be allowed to participate.
BE ON TIME
Arrive to your session 5 minutes prior to start time, anyone arriving late for their time slot will not be allowed to participate and will not be refunded.
WEAR SENSIBLE FOOTWEAR
Please no open toes, sandals, flip-flops or high heels.
DON’T TAKE PART IF PREGNANT
You shouldn’t throw if you are pregnant.
NO CHILDREN UNDER 12 YEARS OLD
Children Aged 12–17
Children aged 12–17 must be accompanied by a paying adult throughout their visit. The accompanying adult is responsible for the supervision and conduct of the child at all times.
RIGHT TO REFUSE ENTRY
We reserve the right to refuse entry on the day.
FLYING AXE FACTORY terms and conditions
By proceeding with your booking, you acknowledge and agree to the following terms:
1. Play Responsibly & Follow Instructions
Participants agree to use common sense and play responsibly at all times. You must follow all instructions provided during the initial briefing and throughout the session, as well as adhere to the safety rules displayed onsite.
2. Physical & Mental Fitness
You confirm that you are in a physically and mentally fit condition to participate in the activities and are not under the influence of any drugs or alcohol.
3. Respect for Equipment & Staff
All participants must show respect for The Flying Axe Factory’s equipment, facilities, and staff. Any misuse of equipment or inappropriate behavior may result in immediate termination of your session without refund.
4. Instructor Discretion
The instructor has the right to terminate a session if they believe there is a risk to any person or property due to inappropriate behavior. No refunds or rescheduling will be provided under such circumstances.
5. Session Timing & Punctuality
All sessions have a scheduled start and end time. If participants arrive late, any time lost will be forfeited, and no additional time will be allocated. Extending the session is at the sole discretion of the instructor and subject to availability.
6. Booking Policy
Please contact us at least 24 hours before your scheduled session if you wish to cancel for a refund or reschedule your booking. If you provide less than 24 hours’ notice, refunds are not available, but you may still reschedule your session.
If you are eligible for a refund, a £1 administration fee will be deducted. The total refund amount will therefore be £24.
Please arrive on time to ensure you get the full benefit of your session.

7. Sportsmanship & Conduct
All participants are expected to act in a sporting and respectful manner, regardless of the outcome of any competition during the session.
8. Photography & Media Release
During your session, we may capture photos or video footage that could be used for promotional purposes (e.g., social media, online, print). If you do not wish to be featured, please inform a member of The Flying Axe Factory team before the session begins.
9. Acknowledgment of Risks
Participation in axe-throwing activities carries inherent risks, including but not limited to:
- Minor injuries (e.g., scratches, bruises, and cuts)
- Major injuries (e.g., eye injuries, joint or bodily harm)
- Catastrophic injuries, including paralysis or death
By participating, you acknowledge that you are aware of these risks and agree to assume full responsibility for any injury or damage that may result from your participation.
10. Group Bookings
If you are booking on behalf of a group, you confirm that all participants have been informed of and agree to these terms and conditions. It is your responsibility as the booking party to ensure everyone is aware of the requirements and risks involved.
11. Prohibited Actions
For safety reasons, throwing axes at each other is strictly prohibited. Any behavior deemed unsafe will result in the termination of the session without refund.
