The Bay Big Band is a local outfit featuring a whole host of musicians from around the area. They are about fun and stylish entertainment and are keen to celebrate all that is great about playing and sharing the big band sound.
Expect an enjoyable and varied repertoire of swing, jazz and latin arrangements from classic to contemporary.

in//motion is an original project spearheaded by saxophonist, composer and NYJO alumni Luke Chakrabarti. They effortlessly weave a spellbinding blend of contemporary jazz improvisation with the sounds of folk and post-rock.
The driving philosophy behind the creative processes of in//motion is giving each unique voice within the collective the freedom to express their own musical identity, whilst continually developing the voice of the group.
At its core, in//motion is simultaneously a celebration of community and individuality by way of personal expression and collective communication.

Juggenaught are a heavy hitting band featuring some monster grooves, lush soundscapes and thumping bass lines, all underpinning some exciting and incisive soloing. They are led by pianist Piera Onacko from the vibrant and exciting Birmingham jazz scene; a contemporary jazz quartet with an experimental edge.

Yasmina, aka, Sunkissed Child is a London based artist from Lebanon. Through her music and captivating lyrics she shares pieces of herself and her life story through a mix of cultures, languages and genres.
Mixing Neo-soul, R&B, Hip-Hop and UK Jazz with her Middle Eastern roots she delivers a show full of emotion and energy backed by her excellent young band bursting with incredible musicianship.

Hippo thrives in the hinterland between jazz and electronica. Bursting with buoyant melodies and the adrenal energy of a band stretching their shows to the edge of possibility, the trio makes an absolutely colossal sound.
Noted members of the Bristol scene, they are all equally comfortable with the spontaneity of jazz and the expansive sound world of electronics, assembling the music from a sea of synths and FX pedals, the compositions remain rooted with a strong melodic identity whilst simultaneously bathed in a wild, raw and technicolor landscape.
Saxophones, synthesisers and drums go in; Hippo comes out.

Dilutey Juice came together to satisfy their insatiable thirst for making music and to send positive vibrations to the community. The Drum and Brass pioneers’ energetic street performances during COVID have seen them booked for a vast array of parties and festivals.
They perform fast and energetic Afro-Beat combined with euphoric house & techno, free jazz and thought-provoking punk rock to entertain, electrify and empower their audiences.
A perfect way to close out a big Saturday at Kanteena.
